The Concept

What happens to cultural identity when it collides with a cosmopolitan environment?

This editorial series explores the fusion of traditional African aesthetics with the high-fashion energy of London — shot with a crew of three, no production scaffolding, nothing between the lens and the story.

The Work

Directed and produced lean — Director, Photographer Amy Barclay, and Model Alexie Kalenga. The stripped-back approach was intentional: by removing the scaffolding of a full production, the work could focus entirely on presence, texture, and the story in between the frames.

The Result

Proof that creative vision leads over production scale.

A high-fidelity visual narrative that moves between reconnection and reinvention. The kind of work that doesn't need a brief — and that's precisely why it's here.
